ONLINE THERAPY CAN HELP YOU COPE BETTER

SHOULD I SEE JUST ANY THERAPIST? AREN'T ALL THERAPIST DOING ONLINE THERAPY NOW?

While it is true that most every therapist remaining open during this time are providing online therapy, not all therapist specialize in providing treatment during pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood.

I specialize in working with parents to help them find ways to have happier and more successful relationships with each other and with their children.

Under normal circumstances, emotions run high during the pregnancy and postpartum times. But these are not normal times! Even the strongest, most committed relationships have been tested.

So if you are struggling to find your new normal and want to connect to find out more about how counseling can help, please reach out!

We are still here to help!

Gain Insight

Therapy can help you better understand why are feeling more anxious, more sad, or more frustrated. Having time set aside each week to stop and process what you have been thinking and feeling can help you understand it better and from there, figure out a plan for how to move forward.

Learn More Effective Communication

So often, conversations don't happen because one person is not certain of how they think of feel about something. The day is so busy, little time is dedicated to thinking about a particular topic. Once some work has occurred in therapy to determine why you are feeling the way you are feeling, then we can begin to help you craft effective ways of communicating with your partner and other significant individuals in your life.

After all, if you don't know exactly what you need for yourself, how can you expect your partner to know and intuitively make it happen. It doesn't work that way. When we pretend like it does, things start to veer off path.

Learn To Implement A Process of Continual Self-Evaluation

Back to our original theory - that your situation and environment is fluid and changing rapidly. Developing a process for regularly checking in with yourself to determine if what you are doing is working or needs adjusted is crucial to maintaining the gains made during therapy.

Our work together will set you up to implement this process on a recurring basis.

The faster you can identify a shift and adapt, the better you will be able to cope - the less anxious you will feel and your joy in your day to day life will slowly rise again.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform called Telehealth by SimplePractice. You can use any computer with a webcam, smart phone, or tablet.

Before our first session, we can schedule a free test run so that you can feel comfortable connecting through the video platform.

We are currently offering online therapy for individuals in New Jersey only, due to current licensure laws.

WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE? OR AN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PLAN?

For students of Princeton University, I am in-network with the Princeton University Exclusive Provider Network. If you have Princeton University Student Health Insurance, your sessions are therefore covered under this plan and you are only responsible for your copay.  Telehealth (or online therapy) sessions are being covered fully as if they were an in-person session for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW FOR 2021
Interval Health is now partnering with Lyra Health who partners with many New Jersey and New York employers to offer a robust network of exceptional mental health providers. If your employer partners with Lyra Health, you will be able to receive services at Interval Health at little to no cost to you (some plans have a small co-pay). The number of sessions available per calendar year will vary based on your employer. You simply need to live in New Jersey or be present in New Jersey at the time of any telehealth session to access this fabulous benefit. Sessions are confidential.

Not sure if your company is partnered with Lyra? It's quick and easy to find out. Simply click the link below to go to Lyra's site and type in the name of your company. Check your spouse's company as well. Many offer benefits for all benefit eligible members of the family.  You can also check with your Human Resources Representative.

I am an out-of-network provider with all other insurance providers.

Please note that insurance coverage of online sessions is dependent on your plan.

Since the start of COVID, insurance companies have been required to cover telehealth as it would an in-person session. Even though the State of Emergency has been lifted in New Jersey, most all insurance companies have continued to cover telehealth. And legislation is being considered to make it permanently mandatory.

If you have any questions about accessing your out-of-network insurance benefits, please contact your insurance plan. I am happy to provide some of the details your insurance company will need to provide an accurate quote of how much you would be reimbursed per session.
